Mérédith Gonzalez-Bayard is a producer with a BFA in Film Production from Concordia University (2019). She first made a name for herself with Sous la montagne endormie by Charles Duquet (RIDM 2022, finalist for Best Documentary Short at Gala Québec Cinéma 2022), then with Ami d'ami by Simon Gualtieri, selected in some 30 festivals (Fantasia 2023, Best Canadian Short at Inside Out 2024). In 2024, she produced Aux garçons de mon âge by Alexia Roc, her first short film supported by SODEC's Emerging Creation program, and obtained financing for a first feature documentary, Uninvited by Rose Katché (Talents en vue - Telefilm Canada).
Since 2023, Mérédith has been a member of the Couronne Nord team, where she acts as an emerging producer after first holding the position of administrative coordinator. She pilots the short film Secrets by Justine Prince and the feature film Aphélie by Virginie Nolin, both also supported by SODEC.
Driven by a desire to spotlight creators from all walks of life, Mérédith focuses on unique, candid stories, exploring issues of identity, feminism and diversity.
